Hi all — I am glad to be here writing on this brisk October morning. After several months of moving, renovating, and getting lost in the shuffle, I am starting to find my footing again. I’ve been experiencing some burnout over the last month and last week I made the decision to refocus myself by putting more energy into streamlining my daily routines, cooking nourishing (very simple ones at that, as I’m working with a toaster oven and instant pot still) meals, and focusing on simplifying motherhood with my toddler. When you go full speed ahead without taking inventory of how you really feel, issues can build up and start to take a toll. The fact is, modern life can be demanding, but having tools and keeping them simple enough to actually use them can make all the difference.
It’s so human to feel like you’ve fallen off the wagon, especially when the wellness world feels like it’s yelling at you to be perfect 100% of the time.
