July Favorites
Hello hello! Welcome to the first bi-monthly favorites! Here I'll be sharing what I've been loving lately and offer some recommendations for all things food, natural living, & seasonal inspiration!
I think it’s safe to say it officially feels like summer! Peaches are juicy and ripe, corn is just now coming into season, many days are spent by the water and dining al fresco is the only way to go. Summer is a time for play, trying new things, connecting with friends and family and long picnics. My go-to picnic food is usually a soba noodle salad (recipe coming later this month) or a simple sandwich made from whatever veggies and cheese I have on hand and some grainy mustard. My favorite summer herbs are lemon balm, which is a member of the mint family that has stress reducing benefits and a lovely soothing taste. I like to make lemon balm sun tea where I put a few fresh leaves in a mason jar with almost boiling water and leave in the sun for a few hours. Pour over some ice and enjoy lemon balm’s cooling properties. Below are some of my seasonal favorite products!
I've been putting Collagen Protect* in my daily smoothie and I love how creamy it makes it! (Use code TAYLOR__KITTO15 for a discount!)
Salad Freak is the cookbook of summer! When it’s too hot to cook, I always turn to the trusty salad.
Wonder Valley can do no wrong. This olive mud mask is perfect for a gentle skin detox.
Smoked Rainbow trout from Fishwive. OMG, this in a hash with some finely diced potatoes and a piece of toast with jam? Heaven.
If you are in need of a new vegetable peeler like I’ve been, look no further. Finally going to toss out my old dull Ikea one and replace it with this ultra sharp one!
Seed Probiotics*, the holy grail of probiotics. I take two daily and can definitely tell a big difference if I forget to take them for a few days! Code: TAYLORK15
I have been making hibiscus chamomile sun tea and having it over ice throughout the day. Such a summer treat! Also incredibly hydrating and beautify-ing. Here is my source for it!
During the pandemic I treated myself to a set of Eastfork Pottery and I’m so grateful I did everyday. Eating meals off them feels so special - plus they are really sturdy. Like, try to break one. You can’t. And they are dishwasher safe!
