This immune-boosting drink is perfect for cold, allergy, and flu season. A shot of this in the morning is the perfect wake-me-up drink, thanks to the sharp ginger and bright citrus. It’s strongest when fresh, but I find it keeps well in the fridge for 2 - 3 days.
Ingredients
Juice of 2 large lemons
Juice of 3 oranges
1 TB honey (local and raw is best)
1 - 2 inch knob of ginger
1/2 cup water
1 tsp elderberry syrup (per shot, add in right before you drink)
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
Put all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend on high for 1 min. Strain with cheesecloth or a nut bag into a pitcher. Add in honey and stir.
Additional add in’s —
2 tsp turmeric powder or 1 inch knob fresh turmeric and a pinch of black pepper
1 tsp cayenne
Crushed garlic
