Oat Flour Dutch Baby
A simple take on a breakfast classic. It's not a sugar bomb but will definitely satisfy that sweet tooth in the morning.
I made this recipe up on a whim when we were out of all purpose flour and I think I enjoy it even more than an OG dutch baby! This is a go-to favorite for us on weekday and weekend mornings. My husband is not a huge sweets guy, especially in the morning, but these are his favorite because they aren’t too heavy or sweet. It isn’t a huge sugar bomb, and it’s actually very low on the glycemic level compared to other breakfast treats.
I’m also into the fact that everything can be made in the blender and that not many dishes have to be washed.
Oat flour is so simple to make, and I usually blend a lot of it and store it in an airtight jar for future recipes. Place your rolled oats, quick cooking or old fashioned, in a high speed blender and blend on high until it forms a flour consistency. Oat flour has a sweet, nutty flavor which adds a lot to any recipe! Full recipe below.
